Installing Raspbian on Raspberry Pi

Raspberry Pi 2 may seem a small device but it has lots of things to offer, it could be considered as a big surprise in a small packet. Today, we will be installing an os to power this great device. We will be installing Raspbian which is a Debian-based computer operating system for Raspberry Pi.

How to install Raspbian on Raspberry Pi?

Step 1: Getting required files

  • Download Etcher for your system.
  • Download Raspbian from here

Step 2: Preparing SD card

  • Open Etcher on your system

  • Insert SD card into the computer.
  • Now click "Select image" and choose the downloaded image.
  • Now you will see your SD card in drive click flash now you are ready to go.

Step 3: Setting Hardware

  • Here's a link to the display required for Raspberry Pi
  • Here's a link to keyboard and mouse.
  • Connect all the devices to the Raspberry Pi.
  • Now insert SD card to Raspberry Pi.
  • Now start the device and you will be good to go.
